About our region
Deloraine has emerged over time as the business hub for the sprawling rural community. Over the last ten to fifteen years the town has attracted a rather large and vibrant arts and theatre community which has contributed to the diversity of people who now choose to reside in the region.

The business centre has a number of clothing shops, a large supermarket, hardware store, many galleries and a number of great cafe's and resturants - if you are used to the cosmopolitan lifestyle - Deloraine will cater for your needs.

The region consists of many entrepreneurs who have grown very sustainable businesses and added to the attractiveness of the area. They include the Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm, Ashgrove Cheese, ETC Cafe, a Salmon farm, a honey tourism venture, and a nationally renowned jeweller.

As a result of Deloraine's humble beginnings in the mid 1800's there are many beautiful large estates and Federation homes and pubs - this architecture adds to the appeal of the community.

Sporting enthusiasts are well catered for with the town having a heated swimming pool (open during summer only), tennis courts, football club, basketball and netball clubs and a gym. A circular path has been developed around the river and proves popular for those who like to walk for exercise.
