Locum opportunities In TasmaniaIf you are looking for a change of scenery Tasmania has a range of locum opportunities in seaside hamlets, rural townships, and larger provincial centres. GP Workforce Tasmania regularly gets requests from GP practices seeking short-term and long-term locums. Short-term locums will need to be eligible for unconditional registration with the Medical Council of Tasmania. Please find below a list of requests for locum cover in Tasmania for 2008 and early 2009. Please give us a ring or contact us by email if you are able to assist for even part of the time period at any of the following locations. Please find below an updated list of requests for locum cover in Tasmania for 2008.
1. Locum required for Swansea on East Coast from 12 -24 January 2009. Solo GP practice with some after hours and on call. Travel, accommodation and vehicle provided.
2. Locum required for Gemini practices at Rosebery/Zeehan on West Coast of Tasmania from 17 December to 07 January 2009. Travel, accommodation and vehicle supplied. After hours and on call required.
3. Locum required for Scottsdale (group practice) for up to 3 weeks from 12 January 2009. Travel, accommodation and vehicle supplied. After hours and on call required and VMO at local hopsital.
4. Locum required for Christmas period including weekend cover at Scottsdale from 24 December to 28 December 2008. Remuneration package available on request. After hours and on call required and VMO at local hopsital.
5. NEW Locum required for Central Highlands practice either 2 weeks from 27 Jan to 06 Feb 2009 or one week locum between 23 Feb to 07 March 2009.
6. NEW Locum required for Dover (solo GP practice) in Huon Valley, south of Hobart any 2 week period from mid February to mid March 2009. Some after hours and on call. Travel, accommodation and vehicle supplied.
7. NEW Locum required for St Marys (solo GP practice) from 12 May 2009 ongoing (either short term or long term locum required). Travel, accom and vehicle supplied. VMO and after hours required at local hospital. Remuneration: 100% of all Medicare billing.
8. NEW Locum required for East Devonport (group practice) either 2 -3 weeks January 2009. Travel, accom and vehicle supplied. No after hours required.
9. NEW Locum required for Somerset (group practice) either mid February to mid March 2009 and/or 26 May to 15 June 2009. Travel , accom and vehicle supplied, no after hours required.
10. NEW Locum required for Port Sorell (group practice) on North West Coast, 01 June to 13 June 2009. Travel, accom and vehicle supplied. Very little after hours.
